Cool Email Subject Line Trick

If you create email hyperlinks, here's a cool trick. professional online newsletters and emails how tocreate your own by Debbie mayo-Smith

Lets say you are sending out an email to a group of people with different spots where they can "click here" to reply to you. You can present the Subject line in these reply emails so that you know exactly where someone clicked on your page, or to help you automatically sort it.

Confused? Let me use on newsletter for example. Through out the entire newsletter, you have 5 - 8 prompts usually to reply back to you - all about different things.

You can set the subject line to read "subscribe" if they click where you have the opt-in reply email. You can set the subject line to read "More info on product A" if it's a reply about product A. Catch my drift? Then to manage your replies, you use your email Rules function to direct incoming email to the correct folders you created. This makes your work easier and your inbox cleaner.

Instead of having perhaps 15 emails with all different things in the subject line in your inbox in reply to your newsletter, you'll have them automatically sorted correctly.

How to do it? At the end of your email address add this "?subject=" and your text

Here's an example: debbie@successis.co.nz?subject=subscribe
