Your customers will tell you

Your customers will tell you everything you need to know to create an outstanding customer experience. All you need to do is ask the right questions. 

Ask a question a month.
Decide what it is you would like to know from your customers and frame it into a simple question. Then tell your staff that this month when they deal with a customer, they should ask this one question and write down the customers’ answers in a book you have set up and placed close to where they are working.

Here are four questions to get you started:
            1. What do we do well and why is this important to you?
            2. What do we do poorly and why does this cause you a problem?
            3. What do we do that is of no use to you?
            4. What do we not do, that is we started doing, would help you?

Of course, there is no point asking any questions if you are not prepared to listen to the answers and then do something with what you’ve learned.
