Personalise their customer experience

Everyone wants to feel special and your customers are no different. At the very least, make sure you and staff know the names of your regular or major customers.

Identify your loyal customers – every time you see them, let them know you appreciate the loyalty they have shown you over the years and do special things for them.

The best way to personalise each customer’s experience is to ask them how they would like to be treated:

• ‘What name would you like us to use?’ (surname, first name, nickname)

• ‘How would you like to be contacted?’ (email, mobile phone, landline, letter)

• ‘Where would you like to receive mail?’ (postal box or street address)

Nobody does this and you will be seen as different if you do.
