Be likeable

If you want to increase your business with more new or repeat customers, people must like doing business with you. For this to happen, you need to behave in a likeable way.

Helping, not selling
To become likeable, stop thinking about having customers. Instead, think of what your attitude and behaviour would be towards someone who wanted to give you money. I expect that at the very least you would be grateful, polite, friendly and considerate.

Additionally, see yourself as someone who earns a living by helping others (rather than providing a service or product). Become as good at helping people as you are at (what you currently think of as) your core business.
