Go the extra mile for your customers

Marie Cosgrave, of Photo Production House in Victoria, Australia, says that business is getting harder and harder in the photo-processing industry. They find customers expect more and more so they’re always trying to improve the service.

Cups of coffee as they sit and select their photos, instant printing of the photos once selected to avoid a return trip, games and drawing books for children – all are now expected by the customer.

Where possible they try to save customers the effort of getting kids out of the car, putting baby into the pram and so on, by encouraging them to ring from their parked car. They go out to them – a bit like a drive through. They do it as it takes a lot of the extra effort out of the whole experience for the customer.
