Close the loop

Your customer asks you to do something, you say you will and, being a person who keeps their word, you faithfully do as you promised. Job done, right? No, you have not closed the loop. You must also communicate back to the customer and tell them the task has been completed.

You know you are competent and reliable but your customer doesn’t know that. Unless you close the loop, they will worry.
