Card collector, not loyal customer

If you emptied my wallet, you’d see at least 20 ‘loyalty’ cards: coffee, sushi, bread, books.

Let’s face it, most people are (like me) card collectors, not loyal customers. The problem with handing out cards is you have no way to prompt your customers back to you; all you can do is wait for them to return.

Why not ask for customer contact details before you hand the cards out? This will give you the ability to communicate and pull customers back with specials and prop up your quiet times.

You’ll get more business than just adding to their deck of cards.
